sooo. I am cleaning out my book case and come across THE BOOK, and it is a facsimile autographed edition signed by the author Daphne de Maurier, Joan Fontaine, and Laurence Olivier, the actors that stared in the movie in 1940.
I remember, 3-4 years ago, I buy this book at a garage sale for 25 cents… I had seen the movie as a child – and was madly in love with the love story.
I was in awe and shock that the book was copyright in 1938 by Daphne de Maurier (all rights reserved).
So again, I read the book, I cry reading the book and I rent the movie, watch it and cry again.
Now isn’t that what you call a good book, well deserving of a first read and definitely a second read, a ‘ CLASSIC’ living up to it’s hype.
